EXECUTIVE ADMINISTRATION


Monica Walsh DeTuro has been with the Alpha School for 10 years and currently works as the principal. She is certified as a Supervisor/Principal and a Teacher of the Handicapped. Ms. DeTuro has spent the last 23 years working both as teacher and an administrator for various schools that provided services to students with special needs ranging in age from 3 to 21. She holds a Bachelor of Arts from Marywood College in Scranton, PA and has a Master of Arts from Georgian Court College in Lakewood, NJ. Ms. DeTuro has dedicated her life to helping children with cognitive, language and social and emotional disabilities.


Anne Marie Leahy Hall has been with the RKS Group for seven years, serving the last five and a half as the Supervisor of Instruction for Alpha School. Mrs. Hall is a summa cum laude graduate of Boston College with a B.A. in Elementary and Special Education and a Masters of Education in Special Education/Generic Learning Specialist. Mrs. Hall began her career in education as a Fourth Grade teacher at Oak Knoll School in Summit, New Jersey. After obtaining her masters from Boston College, she was a Resource Room teacher for students in sixth through eighth grade at Weston Jr. High School in Weston, Massachusetts. Upon her return to New Jersey, Mrs. Hall taught first and second grades, as well as Intermediate Neurologically Impaired Classes for third through sixth graders for the Millburn Public School system. After six years with Millburn, Mrs. Hall stayed home to raise her two daughters, Caitlin and Megan. Mrs. Hall joined the Harbor School staff in Eatontown after a twelve-year hiatus. There she taught multiply disabled students and served as Harbor's Learning Disabilities Consultant prior to moving to the Alpha School. Mrs. Hall continued her education at Rutgers and Georgian Court Colleges where she earned a Supervisor's Certificate. She holds certification from the New Jersey Department of Education as an Elementary School Teacher, Teacher of the Handicapped, Learning Disabilities Teacher Consultant and Supervisor. She also holds Elementary and Special Education Certification in Massachusetts. Mrs. Hall is dedicated to improving the lives and instruction of children with special needs.
