The Alpha School continues to provide technology resources that are available to our faculty and students. We are constantly upgrading our equipment and adding additional workstations to our network.

Alpha's program includes exposing all students to the latest in technology such as the use of computers. Every classroom is equipped with high-tech equipment. Touch screen and other adaptive devices give even the most severely disabled students the motivation and enjoyment of getting to use computers.

Access to computer technology allows teachers and students to explore new frontiers of knowledge. It motivates our students in new ways, allows for students with different learning styles, and puts special needs students at a more even par with their peers. At Alpha, we encourage our students to become familiar with the different tools and resources that will enable them to compete in the 21st century.
Traditionally, teachers have been the "keepers of knowledge" and have transmitted this knowledge to students. Our teachers are responsible for presenting ideas to students in a way that draws them into the excitement of learning. In classrooms, technology is used to engage students in learning. Teachers provide opportunities for students to solve problems, and share knowledge and responsibility. Students become active learners. They discover concepts, apply skills by interacting with materials, technology and other people. This type of discovery provides students with opportunities to make decisions while figuring out new concepts. The Alpha philosophy is to allow students to learn the way that they learn best.
